If… is a little gem of a nursery which was given a good Ofsted report in October 2007

The If... day nursery is based within the Beormund Community Centre. Our commitment to safety means that strong security measures are in place to ensure the welfare of all children and staff.

The nursery is open Monday to Friday from 9am till 4pm. We close for 2 weeks at Easter and Christmas and 3 weeks over the summer holiday.

Each child at the If nursery is assigned a key worker to ensure stability and monitor development and welfare. At If nursery children aged 2-3 follow the birth to three matters framework which supports childrens' learning and development.

Children 3-5 follow the foundation stage curriculum. Curriculum planning and learning objectives are displayed on a notice board so that parents and carers are informed of the children's activities.

Children have access to a safe enclosed outdoor area and are encourage freeflow supervised access wherever possible. All areas of the curriculum are offered outdoors.

Mealtimes

Full time children are given a warm lunch. This is provided by tuck4toddlers. The food is prepared on site, from fresh ingredients. A full menu is always on display in the lobby area of the nursery. Children with special dietary requirements are easily catered for by special arrangement.

Part time children have access to a variety of snacks at the nursery. Childrens' dietary requirements are discussed and agreed with the parents/carers to ensure that cultural and physical needs are met.

Staff

There are 4 staff members working at the If nursery as well as the nursery manager. All staff possess childcare qualifications. All nursery personnel have a CRB disclosure statement and have received clearance from OFSTED that they are suitable to work with children.

Limiting our size to 20 places means that your child will receive the time, care and attention that they might not get at larger establishments

Places are offered on a first come, first served basis and the nursery is fully inclusive. If's popularity means that we now have a growing waiting list. If is a non-profit making nursery. Fees are as follow:

• £95 for a full week including Lunch

• £47.50 part time (mornings or Afternoons)

• £9.50 per session – a minimum of 3 sessions must be booked per week = £28.50
